Dr. Suba completed his residency training in Psychiatry at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he served as Chief resident of his program. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Suba is currently the Associate Program Director for the Valley Health System Psychiatry residency program. He is currently on faculty with the UNLV School of Medicine, where he received the Faculty of the Year award in 2013, 2014, and 2016 from the Department of Psychiatry. He is adjunct faculty at Touro University in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition, he serves as an Associate Medical Director at Talas Harbor Hospital.
Dr. Suba served as President of the Las Vegas branch of the Nevada Psychiatric Association in 2011. Dr. Suba was voted Top Doctor by Vegas Inc. magazine in 2015, 2016, 2021, and 2023.
Dr. Suba received his certification in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) from Duke University. He is actively involved in training nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and medical students. He specializes in treating various psychiatric illnesses, including PTSD, Schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, Depression, Anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and Bipolar disorder.
Dr. Suba was appointed by the Governer of Nevada to serve as a member of the Las Vegas Small Business Advisory Council from 2021-2022.
Daniel Park, D.O., is a board-certified psychiatrist. He is a dedicated community psychiatrist with experience in inpatient and outpatient treatment in public and private settings.
Dr. Park graduated from Western University of the Health Sciences and completed residency training at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Las Vegas, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Park is the Medical Director of Sana Behavioral Health Hospital, Reno Behavioral Health Hospital, and is the Associate Medical Director at Talas Harbor Hospital.
Dr. Park has experience working with the State of Nevada, Rural Services, with clients in Pahrump, and with Elko, Fallon, Fernley, and Lovelock via telemedicine. Currently is an adjunct faculty member at Touro University.
After graduating from a prestigious fellowship at Brown University, Jason Cheng returned to Nevada to practice adult and geriatric psychiatry. He has extensive experience performing ECT (Electro Convulsive Therapy) and TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) fto treatpsychiatric conditions.
Dr. Cheng is currently on staff at Reno Behavioral Health Hospital, and he serves as Director of Outpatient Services. He also actively sees patients in the outpatient setting.
Dr. Goravanchi finished his biology degree at UNLV and graduated from medical school at University of Nevada School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Las Vegas and has spent all of his medical career serving the Nevada residents. He has practiced in a variety of settings both in hospitals and clinics. In addition to English, he speaks French, and Farsi.
Dr. Michael Popov, D.O. is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Popov completed his undergraduate studies at University of California, Irvine. After receiving his doctorate from Touro University Nevada, he served as Chief Resident at University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Medicine, where he completed his psychiatric residency. Dr. Popov is a Clinical Preceptor for medical students and an Associate Residency Professor at his alma mater. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association as well as the Nevada Psychiatric Association. Additionally, he received his certification in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and Electroconvulsive Therapy. Dr. Popov is a dedicated community psychiatrist with extensive experience in public and private inpatient and outpatient settings who continues active clinical practice with seriously mentally ill and dually diagnosed patients.
Dr Azim grew up in Las Vegas, attending Valley High School and later graduating from UNLV. She attended UNR School of Medicine and completed residency training at Kirk Kirkorian School of Medicine at UNLV in 2021. When she’s not working, she enjoys taking care of her family and spending time with her kids. She also cherishes quiet, lazy afternoons drinking tea and getting lost in a good book.
Dr. Mendez is a board certified psychiatrist. He completed his training in adult psychiatry at the Ichan School of Medicine at Mt Sinai in affiliation with Elmhurst Hospital Center in NYC and his subspecialty training in Child and Adolescent psychiatry at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Dr. Mendez’s clinical interest are early childhood attachment/ trauma, ADHD and Autism Spectrum disorders. In addition to maintaining an outpatient clinic, he is serving as Medical Director of youth services at Desert Winds Hospital. He believes that education and communication is the key to reducing stigma around mental health.
Dr. Tuggle is a psychiatrist, focusing primarily in the general adult population, who has a lifelong connection to the Las Vegas community. After completing undergraduate studies at UNLV, he graduated from Oklahoma University School of Medicine and then returned to UNLV to complete his psychiatry residency, where he served as chief resident. He maintains membership to the American Psychiatric Association and Nevada Psychiatric Association.
Shaheen Ahmad is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She received her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Nevada-Reno.
She is experienced in assessing, diagnosing, and treating psychiatric and mental health conditions in people across the lifespan, including but not limited to: ADHD, major depressive disorders, generalized anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorders. She strives to provide culturally sensitive and client-centered care in a warm and welcoming environment.
Her healthcare career spans over 24 years, and she has served in nursing and administrative roles across Southern Nevada, including at University Medical Center, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, MountainView Hospital, North Vista Hospital, and Mountain’s Edge Hospital.
She has been a resident of Las Vegas for over 30 years. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her kids, and playing pickleball. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi.
Jaymie Alvarez is a nationally certified physician assistant at Alliance Mental Health Specialists. She completed her undergraduate studies at Florida International University and then earned her Master of Medical Science at St. Francis University. After completing the physician assistant program at Miami Dade College, she relocated to Las Vegas to practice medicine. Ms. Alvarez is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She is fluent in Spanish.
Christine Barnett is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Christine received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in political science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). She later completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at UNLV where she received the Academic Excellence Award. Christine then pursued her master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama and was inducted as a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and was awarded multiple scholarships for her academic performance.
Christine’s professional experience began as a registered nurse at Montevista Hospital, an acute care psychiatric facility, and she later worked on the Behavioral Health Holding unit at Sunrise Hospital. Christine has experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in both the acute care setting and outpatient setting and is trained to treat across the lifespan..

Jon Failla is an Advanced Practitioner of Nursing with over 25 years of experience in mental health. Jon started out working as a licensed social worker with undeserved populations on public assistance and in child welfare with special needs and medically fragile populations. He later went on to get postgraduate education in psychology where he was trained in psychometric testing, mental health diagnostics, and psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions. Following this, he went back to school to become a registered nurse where he worked with dual diagnosis patients suffering from both physical and mental health disorders.
Finally, he completed a second Master’s degree program in advanced practice nursing. He is licensed and experienced in treating all populations with a current focus on adult and geriatric patients. His experience and credentials in social work, psychology, and family practice advanced practice nursing collectively contribute to and inform his patients care at Alliance.
Zelluyah Gaitho is a nurse practitioner who holds over a decade of experience in different fields and is certified in Psychiatry and primary care. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Nevada State College. She then went to obtain a master’s degree in nursing from University of Alabama Birmingham and a post-master’s certificate in Psychiatry from John Hopkins University. Currently Zelluyah holds a doctorate in nursing practice obtained from Eastern Kentucky University. She works as a psychiatric nurse practitioner outpatient and inpatient with different post-acute facilities. She is a member of Golden Key International Honor society (World’s premier collegiate honor society) and Sigma Theta Tau International.
Dr. Kai is a doctoral level nurse practitioner in psychiatric mental health. He graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where he practiced extensively in community health in service for the vulnerable populations. His substantial nursing background in the fields of surgical, medical, and intensive care led to the development of interest in the wellness of the mental health, with special attention to depression, schizophrenia, bipolar and substance addiction. He currently serves in outpatient clinic settings at Well Care Behavioral and Medical Clinic and at Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital.
